Elijah Hughes put on a dominant performance for Syracuse. "He's a tough guy to guard," said Head Coach Jim Boeheim after the game. "He's one of the toughest guys to guard, I think, in the country because he can shoot the three and get into the lane." Hughes finished with 26 points and grabbing 7 rebounds.
"I think our offense is getting better," said Boeheim when discussing what the difference has been over the last four games. "The Virginia Tech and Notre Dame games could have gone either way. We didn't make plays at the end (in Syracuse). This game could have gone either way, but we made a play."
