Oil Prices Settle Down Internationally As Gas Prices Hold Flat In CNY

Syracuse, N.Y. - Gas prices are continuing to hold steady across Central New York as oil prices work their way down as tensions between the U.S. and Iran appear to be easing.

International benchmark Brent crude is down a nickel a barrel, to $64.93 and West Texas Intermediate crude is down 52 cents, to $59.04 a barrel.

AAA reports that the average cost for a gallon of regular gas is $2.63. That's up only a penny from last week, but is five cents higher than this time a month ago.

The state average is $2.72, while nationally it's $2.58. The national average is up 33 cents from last year.
