Syracuse, N.Y. - DEA agents make a big METH bust in Syracuse.
Wednesday agents arrested two men and confiscated a 9mm hand gun and about 44 pounds of methamphetamine as it arrived in Syracuse. DEA agents learned a shipment of drugs was headed to Syracuse and conducted surveillance on the apparent drop-off location.
Investigators say two men meet at the location and peer into a suitcase in the back of a Jeep.
Investigators detained the driver of the Jeep, Devonte Williams-Dorsey, who they found had a loaded 9mm semiautomatic handgun on his person.
In the suitcase, investigators found about 44 pounds of methampethamine, commonly called crystal meth.
In additoon to Williams-Dorsey they also arrested Tyshawn Logan.
Both are charged with possession and intent to distribute, along possesion of a firearm in furtherance of drug trafficking.
They face 10 years to life in prison.
