Bail Reform Law May Be Revisited

Albany, N.Y. - There may be changes to the bail reform law that just recently went into effect in New York State.

Senate Majority Leader Andrea Stewart Cousins told a CBS New York talk show on Saturday that she thinks there needs to be another look at it. She mentions on the show called The Point that she's concerned about hate crimes. Some charged with anti-Semitic hate crimes have been released without bail under the new law.

Meanwhile, State Attorney General Letitia James spoke with reporters in Rochester Saturday saying she thinks there should be changes to the bail reform law.
