Lysander, N.Y. - The investigation is underway into what sparked a fire in Onondaga County that forced a family from their home.
Crews were called to battle the flames at a residence on Lamson Road in Lysander Wednesday. Firefighters say the homeowner saw a red glow outside his residence and dialed 911.
One person was treated for smoke inhalation but no other injuries were reported.
The family is being helped by the Red Cross.
