Sherill, N.Y. - A couple from Sherrill who scammed their friends and neighbors out of hundreds of thousands of dollars has been forced to pay back that money as part of a plea deal.
David and Ramona Wright, had pleaded guilty to third-degree grand larceny and felony securities fraud in September. As part of the deal, they have to cough up nearly $400,000 to be used as restitution for their victims.
Investigators say the Wrights stole $760,000 dollars from friends and neighbors. The couple claimed they were funding Wright Wellness Solutions but instead bought a yacht, fancy cars, and paid for their daughters wedding.
David was sentenced to two to six years in state prison. Ramona five years of probation and must make additional monthly restitution payments to investors.
