Albany, N.Y. - Some workers across New York state may get a raise starting next week
The minimum wage will increase to $15 an hour on Dec. 31 for small businesses in New York City with 10 or fewer employees; larger city businesses are already required to pay that rate.
Upstate New York, meanwhile, will see minimum wage increase from to $11.80 an hour. Minimum wage will next increase to $12.50 an hour next year.
Syracuse and other upstate cities may not see a $15 minimum wage until 2024.
