Syracuse, N.Y. - Onondaga County Bill Fitzpatrick says that a Syracuse police officer who shot and killed a man on Fenton St. in early December was justified in doing so. After 31 Miguel Russo shot his own 6 year old nephew
Syracuse Police Officer Matthew Tynan along with other officers responded to 119 Fenton Street after reoprts of a child being shot. They confronted 31 Miguel Russo who had shot his 6 year old nephew. Russo was told to drop his gun several times and he refused and then threatened the officers. Thats when Tynan opened fire killing Russo.
Fitpzpatrick says a Grand Jury was presented with evidence and they have decided not to press any charges against OfficerTynan.
