Katko Says He Will Vote "No" On Impeachment

Central New York congressman John Katko says he plans to vote "no" on the impeachment of President Trump.

In a statement, Katko says that impeachment was designed by our founding fathers to be used in only the most dire of circumstances, and that as a former prosecutor he has objectively viewed the evidence. Katko concludes that while be believes some of the president's actions are wrong and inappropriate, they do not rise to the level of an impeachable offense. Katko says that now more than ever, Congress has to "put down the swords," in his words and work across party lines to deal with issues like the economy, security, and the heroin and synthetic drug epidemic.
