State Trooper Bitten On The Leg During An Arrest

Town of Salina , N.Y. - A Syracuse man has been arrested and during the process he bit a StateTrooper on the leg.

Around 1am Tuesday State Police responded to an apratment on Roxboro Circle in the town of Salina for a disturbed person complaint. There they found 24 year old Noah Rivers acting stange and refusing to leave. Rivers was placed under arrest. He began to physically resist and asTroopers were placing him in the patrol car he became very combative and bit a Trooper on his upper leg, causing it to bleed. The Trooper was treated and released.

Rivers faces the following charges:

  • Assault 2nd degree, a class “D” felony
  • Criminal Trespass 2nd degree, a class “A” misdemeanor
  • Resisting Arrest, a class “A” misdemeanor

Rivers was transported by ambulance to St. Joseph’s Hospital for a medical evaluation before being arraigned at the Onondaga County Justice Center.
