The weather continues to provide snow and create travel problems in Central New York.
Snowfall amounts of 3 to as much as 6 inches are covering Central New York this morning. Roads early today were snow-covered, but plows are expected to improve conditions as more commuters hit the roads. The speed limit on the Thruway between Syracuse and Albany has been reduced to 45 miles an hour. That's in addition to a new temporary speed of 45 on Route 81 between Syracuse and the Pennsylvania border. Travel advisories for Cortland and Oneida counties are in effect where heavier snowfalls have been recorded.
