Town Of Salina Man On Run After Death Of One Year Old, Captured

Syracuse, N.Y. - Onondaga Sheriffs says a Town of Salina man whose been on the run after killing a one year old has been caught.

Deputies say 22 year old Matthew Brennan of Hyland Drive, has been on the run since November 2nd, the day that one year old Mason Washburn died from injuries caused by Brennan.

Brennan was originally charged with Reckless Assault in October 2018 but the charges were upgraded. He's accused of violently shaking Washburn causing a severe hemorrhage to the childs brain along with other injuries.

After failing to appear in County Court earlier this month, Sheriff’s detectives assigned to the U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force, along with members of the U.S. Marshals, launched an investigation into Brennan’s whereabouts and were able to track his travels to Winnabow North Carolina.
