Salina, N.Y. - The son of former Syracuse police chief Frank Fowler and four other people are facing charges following a weekend traffic stop.
State Police say they saw a car stopped at a green light in Salina Saturday morning. While a trooper was talking to the driver, the trooper smelled marijuana and asked everyone in the vehicle to get out. That's when the trooper saw a gun inside.
Now, 28-year-old Frank Fowler Junior and four other people in the vehicle have been charged with criminal possession of a weapon.
