Gas Prices Hold Steady In CNY For Holiday Travel

If you're one of the millions of drivers hitting the road this week, you'll find steady prices at the pump.

According to Triple A, the average cost for a gallon of regular gas in Syracuse is $2.59. That's the same as it was last week and is a penny cheaper than this time a month ago.

The state average is $2.68, while nationally it's $2.59.

With the holiday travel, there will be less commuters on the road to drive-up demand. Prices are steady despite crude oil prices edging up.

There is new hope that American and Chinese negotiators will make progress on ending the nearly year and-a-half long trade war. International benchmark Brent crude is up nine cents a barrel, to $62.46 and West Texas Intermediate crude is up six cents, to $57.83. .
