SU Protesters Ask For Chancellor's Resignation, He Meets Some Demands

Syracuse, N.Y. - SU Chancellor Kent Syverud is meeting some of the most recent demands by students protesting on Campus.

A group of students presented Syverud with the list in response to a series of racist incidents on campus. It included additional financial aid for students of color, clearer policy against hate speech and one-million dollars for a revamped curriculum that addresses racism.

Some of the demands by protesters were agreed to earlier this week by the University. The Chancellor also offered some of his own revisions before coming on board.

At a campus forum yesterday, the protesters had demanded that the Chancellor meet all of their demands, or resign. The also marched to his residents and protested outside lit last night.
