SU Alum Joe Biden's Dismal Debate Night

It was not a good night for the Democratic Presidential Front-runner. Former Vice President, and SU Alum Joe Biden's debate performance is making headlines for all of the wrong reasons.

Biden drew laughs at last night's Democratic presidential debate when he said the way to deal with violence against women is to "keep punching at it and punching at it and punching at it." Biden made the gaffe while talking about how there needs to be a culture shift in the U.S. to solve the issue of domestic violence. He also reiterated his call to re-authorize of the Violence Against Women act in response to a question about the #MeToo movement.

The second slip came when Biden appeared to have forgotten the existence of California Sen. Kamala Harris. Biden said that he had the support of the the only African-American woman elected to the U.S. Senate when he had meant to say the first.
