Syracuse, N.Y. - A former Syracuse DPW commissioner, and West Genesee school bus driver, has been sentenced to jail on child porn charges.
63 year old Jeffrey Wright was sentenced to 2 year in the local jail. He had faced up to five years in state prison.
Wright pleaded guilty to a 12 count child porn indictment. Wright will be rated as a sex offender before being released from jail.
Wright was Syracuse Department of Public Works commissioner from 2007 to 2009 and drove school bus for West Genny from 2016 until his arrest.
There’s no indication any West Genesee students were involved.
