State Pledges $15 Million For Port Of Oswego Upgrades

Oswego, N.Y. - Some major upgrades are coming to the Port of Oswego.

Governor Cuomo says the state will contribute 15-million dollars to help pay for several projects.

Money will be used to build a new storage dome and silo as well as a new tunnel and conveyor belt system. The ability to hand storing and shipping grain, corn, and soybeans will allow Central New York's farmers to be more competitive globally.

The Port handles more than a million tons of imports and exports each year.
