Syracuse, N.Y. - A Lakeland man has been found guilty of beating and stabbing his friend to death and stuffing him in the trunk of his car.
26 year old Jacob Stanton, admitted he was with victim Jacob Giarrusso the day of the murder, but said he dropped him off at his home.
The jury found that Stanton flew into a rage at Giarrusso’s grandmother’s house Nov, 18, 2017, cracked his friend’s skull with a blunt object and then stabbed him numerous times,so forcefully the knife blade broke.
Stanton faces 25 years to life when sentenced on Dec. 20.
