SU Chancellor Sorry For Delay In Telling Students About Racist Graffiti

Syracuse, NY) -- The Chancellor of Syracuse University is apologizing for a delay in telling students about racist graffiti found in a residence hall. T

he messages, described as being anti-African American and anti-Asian were found in bathrooms at Day Hall last week. In a letter, Chancellor Kent Syverud said school leaders should have communicated more swiftly and broadly and expressed disappointment but that didn't happen.

The State Police Hate Crimes Task Force is looking into the incident and is asking anyone with information to come forward.
