Syracuse, N.Y. - The Syracuse Orange has had a week to lick their wounds after last Wednesday’s ugly 48-34 loss to Virginia.
Now, the Orange takes on Colgate, who enters Wednesday’s game at the Carrier Dome as an underdog. The Raiders have four starters back from a team that won the Patriot League last year. The 34 points by SU last week marked the fewest points for Syracuse in Coach Boeheim’s 44-year coaching tenure.
This will mark the 172nd meeting between Syracuse and Colgate on the basketball hardwood. Syracuse has played more games against Colgate than any other opponent. The Orange have won 53 consecutive games against the Raiders the longest win streak for a college basketball team against another school in NCAA history. Colgates last win was back in 1962.
Game is at 7 p.m. on TV on the YES channel and will also be available online via ACC Network Extra.
