Gov. Cuomo Orders Troopers To Investigate SU Hate Crimes

Syracuse, N.Y. - Racist messages found in an SU Dorm Bathroom are being investigate by Troopers.

Racist slurs against Asians and blacks were found at Day Hall last week. Gov. Cuomo is directing the State Police Hate Crimes Task Force to begin an investigation into the hate speech.

Ceiling lights in bathrooms in a sixth floor were pulled out and put in a toilet on Wednesday night. The N-word was written on part of the light, at least one mirror on the floor and on garbage cans. A slur against Asian people was also written on a bulletin board on Day’s fourth floor.
