Sen. Schumer Calls On Feds To Investigate High MS Rate

Syracuse, N.Y. - Senator Chuck Schumer is calling on the federal government to look into a serious health problem in Syracuse.

New research shows the city may have the highest rate of multiple sclerosis in the entire country. Schumer is asking the CDC to work together with Upstate Medical University to find out why numbers are so high.

MS is a disease that impacts the central nervous system, and while there's no cure, there are medications that can slow down its affects.
