Man Whose Arrest Went Viral Will Stand Trial

Syracuse, N.Y. - A Judge has ordered a man who was arrested for playing lody music, to stand trial.

Shaolin Moore will stand trial on a resisting arrest charge in an ugly police encounter that was partially captured on a video and went viral, last May.

The judge also expressed her “serious reservations” over the police response during the arrest. She wondered if Moore might have a legitimate civil lawsuit.

Moore faces up to a year in jail if convicted of resisting arrest, a misdemeanor. Police had originally pulled his vhicle over for loud music, a violation akin to a traffic ticket.
