Oswego Lawmakers Move Forward With Partial Styrofoam And Tobacco Ban

Oswego, N.Y. - Lawmakers in Oswego voted unanimously to pass a partial ban of Styrofoam and tobacco use.

The "Keep Oswego Clean Initiative" was proposed by Oswego Mayor Billy Barlow.

The ban on Styrofoam containers, smoking, and vaping only applies to to City owned property and parks. The fine for littering is now $200. Additionally, the City will double the number of trashcans in downtown Oswego and their parks.
