Albany, N.Y. - New York lawmakers and advocates want a national expansion of the state's Child Victims Act.
Activists gathered yesterday outside the New York City mansion that once belonged to convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein. Epstein was found hanged in his Federal jail cell in Manhattan awaiting trial.
There are efforts in other states to pass their own versions of the Child Victims Act, which temporarily removes the statute of limitations in civil cases involving child sex abuse.
