Syracuse, N.Y. - An emergency sewer repair is underway in the block of East Water Street downtown. That means it will be closed this evening.
The 300 block of East Water Street will be closed beginning at 6 p.m. That block is between Market Street and South State Street.
Work on the sewer is expected to be completed by the end of the day today. Detour signs will be posted while the road is closed.
