Gov. Cuomo Asks If National Grid's License Can Be Revoked

Albany, N.Y. - It looks like National Grid has raised the ire of Governor Cuomo.

He's now asking the Public Service Commission if the utility company's license can be revoked. The governor claims National Grid is trying to force the state to support a new natural gas pipeline by refusing to provide natural gas service to 11-hundred people downstate. He's now asking the PSC to have someone keep an eye on how National Grid operates.

In a statement, the PSC said it's taking the governor's request seriously and will take any steps needed to punish National Grid.

A National Grid spokesperson says the company is working to reconnect affected customers.
