Landmark Theater Getting Millions For Restorative Upgrades

Syracuse, N.Y. - The iconic Landmark Theater in Syracuse is about to get some needed upgrades.

The South Salina Street facility has been awarded a two-million dollar grant to restore the marquee and replace seats in the auditorium.

Those seats have been in the theater since it was built back in 1928, though they were re-upholstered in the 90's. The marquee was replaced more than 30-years-old.

Renovations will begin next summer, and the theater will be closed while they're taking place.
