Family Gives Update On Syracuse Boy Hit On James Street

Syracuse, N.Y. - The mother of a boy struck by a car in Syracuse is giving an update on his condition.

Qutasha Jackson says the latest tests on her 13-year-old son Zyere are showing positive signs. Doctors believe the boy suffered brain damage, but aren't sure of the extent yet. Police say he slipped and fell while running across the street near Lincoln Middle School last week. The driver who hit him wasn't charged.

A GoFundMe has been set up to help Zyere's family with medical expenses.
