Clay Planning Board Hosting Public Hearing Tonight For Zoning Change

Liverpool, N.Y. - There will be another meeting tonight about the massive distribution center that could replace the Liverpool Golf Club on Morgan Road.

The 7:30 p.m. meeting at the Clay Town Hall is a public hearing about a zoning change.

Yesterday, 30 people turned out for a meeting to discuss the proposed $70.8 million dollars in tax breaks over the next 15-years the project's developer is applying for. Even still, the developer is proposing paying $28 million to the county, town, and Liverpool School District during that time.

Over that same 15-years, the golf course would only generate $800,000 in property taxes.
