The temperatures are falling, and so are gas prices in Central New York!
According to Triple A, the average cost for a gallon of regular gas is $2.59. That's down a penny from last week and seven cents from this time a month ago.
The state average is $2.69, while nationally it's $2.64.
Oil prices are off slightly as investors worry about weakening worldwide demand coupled with greater supply than even producers expected. The International benchmark Brent crude is down 14 cents a barrel, to $59.28 and West Texas Intermediate crude is off six cents, to $53.81 a barrel.
Demand worries are driven in large part by China's lowest year-on-year growth in more than 27 years in the third quarter. In addition, Russia said Sunday it produced more oil in September than expected.
