Town of Mexico,N .Y. - A vehicle slamed into an Amish buggy yesterday, leaving one person in critical condition.
State Police say the accident occured on Route 3 in the Town of Mexico.
William Twombly was driving when he struck the buggy from behind causing the two occupants Anna and Andy Miller, to be thrown from the buggy. Twombly’s car then struck a large rock retaining wall and a power pole.
Anna suffered a severe head injury and is listed in critical condition. Andy Miller suffered back injuries.
Two horses were also severely injured and were euthanized per the owner's request.
The investigation is continuing.
