Woman Seen Choking Puppy Busted By Syracuse Police

Syracuse police charged a woman after she choked a puppy she was watching for its owner.

Officers were sent to Brighton Towers to investigate a complaint of animal cruelty from several witnesses. Officers learned on arrival that Wanda McKee of Syracuse had been seen violently choking a puppy by twisting and holding the 4-month old puppy's collar, and that someone at the scene took the puppy away from McKee. Officers then learned McKee was not the owner but was watching the the puppy. Officers spoke with the owner and returned the puppy to their care. The owner agreed to have the puppy seen by a vet. McKee was charged with animal cruelty and will appear in court later this month.
