North Syracuse Man Charged With Drunk Driving Following Liverpool Crash

Liverpool, N.Y. - Vine street is back open this morning in Liverpool after a drunk driver crashed into a utility pole overnight.

Onondaga County Sheriff’s Deputies say Adam Elsner of North Syracuse was driving drunk when he drove his Chevy pickup into the utility pole shearing it in half.

The crash knocked down the power lines causing a brief power outage in the area. National Grid crews spent the early morning hours replacing the pole.

Elsner was arrested at the scene and has been released on an appearance ticket.
