North Syracuse, N.Y. - North Syracuse School District officials say they need more money to renovate the Bear Road Elementary school.
District officials say the project's price tag is now $32 million dollars, $9 million more than the $22 million what tax payers approved three years ago.
$6.7 million of the difference will need to be paid by taxpayers over the next 15-years.
The school board will vote late this month to put the proposal to voters in December.
Construction would begin in April 2020 if approved.
