Fort Dum Soldiers Arrested For Stealing Gun

Syracuse, N.Y. - Three soldiers stationed at Fort Drum are accused of stealing firearms.

Army soldiers 22 yr old Rian Patterson, 20 Devin Diggs, and 20 Tyrease Kimmons, stole 10 firearms during burglaries in St Lawrence County in September.

Tuesday, a Fort Drum Army captian ordered a check of Patterson’s room due to recent drug activity. During the search, investigators say they found two of the stolen pistols in Patterson’s desk.

He then waived his Miranda Rights, and according to offcials , Patterson admitted to planning and committing the burglaries with Diggs and Kimmons.

If convicted, they’re each facing up to 10 years in prison, a maximum fine of $250,000 and up to three years of supervised release.
