Court Date For Man Whose Arrest Went Viral

Syracuse, N.Y. - The man whose controversial arrest went viral this summer will be back in court today:

Shaolin Moore was arrested for loud music and resisting arrest in May. Officers say Moore refused to get out of his car and that led to him being dragging him out.

Since the arrest, Syracuse Police have updated their Use of Force policy and guidelines.

Prosecutors say that he intentionally escalated the confrontation with officers in order to make the video that went viral. They have given him two choices; apologize for intentionally trying to divide the community, plead guilty, and spend three years on probation -- or spend the next 364 days behind bars.

Moore's supporters say they plan to fill the courtroom. They say prosecutors are dividing the community with their ultimatum.
