Oswego County Mosquito Spray Set For Today

Health Officials in Oswego County are hoping to spray a wider area today.

The goal is to kill mosquitoes carrying Eastern Equine Encephalitis that may be spreading from the Toad Harbor and Big Bay Swamps. Crews expect to spray along the north shore of Oneida Lake, on the west along Rte 11 from Brewerton to Central Square, and then south of Route 49 from Central Square through West Monroe to Constantia.

Efforts to conduct aerial spraying in the Toad Harbor area have been delayed recently due to Mother Nature.

Spraying will take place between 6:00 p.m. and 9:00 p.m.
