Oswego County Says Spraying Successful

Toad Harbor, N.Y. - Oswego County Helath Department has announced some success in their battle against mosquitoes.

Spraying of Toad Harbor Swamp on Aug. 20 was effective in reducing the number of mosquitoes infected with Triple E. Although the spraying reduced the mosquito population the health department says people should continue to be vigilant about protecting themselves from mosquito bites.

So far this year, 30 mosquito samples have tested positive for EEE and two horses have died of the virus in Oswego County.
