Syracuse, N.Y. - Syracuse police are naming the man who killed himself on an ATV this weekend.
Officers say that 36-year-old Xavier Ortiz died Sunday night after crashing an ATV into two parked cars on Shonnard Street.
Officers say the was not wearing a helmet, or any other protective gear. Had he, he probably would have survived.
The cause of the accident is still under investigation. Investigators say speed or reckless driving may have been factors.
