State police say a pedestrian was killed when a car hit him on State Route 3 in Watertown.
Troopers were sent to the scene near Pioneer Plaza Drive around 9pm Sunday. Witnesses told police that 54-year-old Patrick Brown of Penfield had begun crossing Route 3 from the north and was partially in the westbound lane when a Cadillac traveling westbound on 3 hit Brown. Brown was taken to a nearby hospital where he was pronounced dead. Troopers say the driver did not show signs of alcohol or drug impairment. The investigation into that fatal crash is continuing.
