El Paso, Dayton, & The FCC

This weekend's mass shootings in El Paso, Texas, and Dayton, Ohio, still have the nation in shock and mourning the loss of 29 people. The Dayton shooting hit close to home for Dave, and News Radio 570 WSYR's aviation expert Jay Ratliff:

 

Across the country, about 1000 TV stations are being required by the FCC to switch their frequencies in order to accommodate for high-speed internet to reach a broader audience. Jean Kiddoo, the Chair of the FCC Incentive Auction Task Force, explained what that means for Syracuse consumers:
