Albany, N.Y. Attorney General Letitia James is announcing a website where New Yorkers can get information on the recent settlement with Equifax.
By accessing a new website, equifaxbreachsettlement.com, people can search based off last name and partial social security number to see if they were victims.
On Monday, it was announced that New York had joined in the over $19 million settlement with the credit reporting agency, which reportedly impacted eight-and-a-half million New Yorkers. James says while nearly half of the country's population has wondered if they were victims for almost two years, they can now have clarity.
