New Law Creates Artificial Intelligence And Robotics Commission In NY

Albany, N.Y. - New legislation will create an artificial intelligence and robotics commission in the state of New York.

Governor Cuomo signed it into effect, saying that as the technology's impact continues to grow, it's critical to understand its capabilities and potential drawbacks.

The commission will analyze the latest uses of robotics and A.I. so as to determine how the state can benefit, and if regulation is needed. Specifically, the commission aims to examine the impact on employment, individual's privacy, how to enhance aspects of the public sector, and what if anything could be dangerous
