Town of Pompey, N.Y. - Last night, around 9:30 Onondaga County Sheriff’s Office Air1 helicopter responded to a call to find a lost woman.
The 27 year old called 911 from her cell phone and indicated she was lost somewhere in the woods off of Oran Delphi and Number 2 Road. Upon Air1’s arrival, the flight crew utilized the helicopters infrared camera and night vision goggles and found her.
Ground units were directed to the woman’s location and assisted her out of the woods to awaiting ambulance where she was medically evaluated.
