Syracuse, N.Y. - Renovations continue out at the Carrier Dome and some of the most obvious signs of that will go up this morning:
The enormous crane, literally, starts to go up this morning that will be used to assemble that new roof. It weights in at 1,100 tons and will extend more than 450 feet higher than the top of the iconic roof.
The new hard roof will have a life span of 40-50 years. University Officials promise that it will allow for a better experience for fans attending events at the Dome.
