Peter Rauch Is Up For Parole This Week

The former investigator for the Onondaga County DA's Office that was driving drunk and hit a teen on the Northside, leaving him for dead, is up for parole this week.

Peter Rauch is nearing the end of his minimum sentence of two years in state prison. He was sentenced to two-to-six years in prison after pleading guilty to vehicular manslaughter and leaving the scene of a fatal accident.

In March 2017, Rauch was driving drunk when he hit and killed 18-year-old Seth Collier on North Salina Street and then left the scene.

Oswego County District Attorney Greg Oakes was called in as a Special Prosecutor. He is requesting his parole be denied.
