Syracuse, N.Y. - Things will look different in Downtown Syracuse this holiday season.
The city of Syracuse has decided instead of cutting down a tree, transporting it to Clinton Square and putting it up, they are going artifical this year. Around Mid November they will put up a four-story artificial tree with thousands of sparkling colored LED lights.
The one-time cost of $50,000 will save taxpayers about $37,000 each year according to the city. They say they have received many complaints over the years regarding the trees they picked.
