Woodstock 50 Looks Less Likely To Happen

Vernon , N.Y. - Woodstock 50 looks less likely to happen now.

The Town of Vernon has denied an application to hold the festival at Vernon Downs. According to town attorney Vincent Rossi the permit was filed too late and is “dramatically incomplete,”.

The denial comes after a rowdy Vernon town board meeting attended by about 100 people. All the residents who spoke, opposed the festival.

The festival was supposed to be held at the Watkins Glen International race track, but the track canceled the contract after Woodstock 50 missed a $150,000 payment.

Woodstock’s principal investor, Dentsu, pulled out in April, slamming the “incompetence” of Woodstock 50 organizers.
